الآية السابقة
فَلَوۡلَا كَانَتۡ قَرۡيَةٌ ءَامَنَتۡ فَنَفَعَهَآ إِيمَٰنُهَآ إِلَّا قَوۡمَ يُونُسَ لَمَّآ ءَامَنُواْ كَشَفۡنَا عَنۡهُمۡ عَذَابَ ٱلۡخِزۡيِ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَمَتَّعۡنَٰهُمۡ إِلَىٰ حِينٖ
There had never been any town that believed [after seeing the punishment] and benefited from its faith except the people of Jonah[65]. When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in the life of this world, and let them enjoy themselves for a while. (Rowwad Translation)
No hubo ningún pueblo que creyera y se beneficiase de su fe (cuando el castigo por haber desmentido a su mensajero era ya inminente), salvo el de Jonás[358].Cuando creyeron, los libramos de un castigo humillante en esta vida y les permitimos disfrutar durante un tiempo. (Noor International)
Que n’y eut-il une seule cité qui eût cru et eût bénéficié de sa foi, tel le peuple de Jonas ! Lorsque ces derniers eurent cru, Nous leur épargnâmes le supplice de l’humiliation en ce bas monde et Nous les laissâmes jouir de leur subsistance pour un temps. (Noor International)
तो कोई ऐसी बस्ती[26] क्यों न हुई जो ईमान लाई हो, फिर उसके ईमान ने उसे लाभ पहुँचाया हो, सिवाए यूनुस की जाति के लोगों के। जब वे ईमान ले आए, तो हमने उनसे सांसारिक जीवन में अपमान की यातना को टाल दिया[27] और उन्हें एक निश्चित समय तक लाभ उठाने का अवसर दे दिया। (Al-Umary)
