الآية السابقة
وَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ إِلَّا رِجَالٗا نُّوحِيٓ إِلَيۡهِم مِّنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡقُرَىٰٓۗ أَفَلَمۡ يَسِيرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَيَنظُرُواْ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۗ وَلَدَارُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ خَيۡرٞ لِّلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوۡاْۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ
We did not send before you[41] except men whom We gave a revelation, from the people of each society. Have they not traveled through the land to see how was the end of those who came before them? But the home of the Hereafter is far better for those who fear Allah. Do you not then understand? (Rowwad Translation)
Y antes de ti (¡oh, Muhammad!), no enviamos como mensajeros Nuestros sino a hombres a quienes inspiramos Nuestra revelación (para que la transmitieran) a las gentes de sus propias ciudades. ¿Acaso no viajan por la tierra y ven cuál fue el final de quienes los precedieron (y reflexionan sobre ello)? Y la Última Morada (del paraíso) junto a Al-lah es mejor para los piadosos. ¿Es que no razonaréis? (Noor International)
Nous n’avons envoyé avant toi, parmi les habitants des cités, que des hommes auxquels Nous avons inspiré des révélations. (Ceux qui osent te démentir, ô Muhammad) n’ont-ils donc pas parcouru le monde ? N’ont-ils pas vu quel fut le sort de ceux qui vécurent avant eux ? L’ultime demeure est certes meilleure pour ceux qui craignent (Allah). N’entendez-vous pas raison ? (Noor International)
और हमने आपसे पहले बस्तियों के रहने वालों में से केवल पुरुषों[34] को नबी बनाकर भेजे, जिनकी ओर हम वह़्य किया करते थे। तो क्या ये धरती में चले-फिरे नहीं, कि देखते उनका परिणाम कैसा हुआ, जो इनसे पहले थे? और निश्चय आख़िरत (परलोक) का घर उनके लिए उत्तम है, जो अल्लाह से डरते रहे। तो क्या तुम समझते नहीं? (Al-Umary)
在你之前，我只派遣了城市居民中的若干男子，我启示他们。难道他们没有在大地上旅行，因而观察前人的结局是怎样的吗？后世的住所，对于敬畏者是更好的。难道你们不理解吗？ (Makin)
