وَإِن كَادُواْ لَيَفۡتِنُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَيۡكَ لِتَفۡتَرِيَ عَلَيۡنَا غَيۡرَهُۥۖ وَإِذٗا لَّٱتَّخَذُوكَ خَلِيلٗا
They were about to tempt you away from what We have revealed to you [O Prophet] so that you would fabricate something else and attribute it to Us; then they would have surely taken you as a close friend. (Rowwad Translation)
A punto estuvieron dedesviarte (quienes rechazaban la verdad) de lo que te habíamos revelado (¡oh, Muhammad!) para poder inventar algo distinto contra Nos. Entonces te habrían tomado por un fiel amigo. (Noor International)
Il s’en est fallu de peu qu’ils ne t’aient tenté et détourné de ce que Nous t’avons révélé, pour te conduire à Nous prêter d’autres révélations inventées (de toutes pièces). Ils t’auraient pris alors pour leur ami le plus proche. (Noor International)
निःसंदेह क़रीब था कि वे (काफ़िर लोग) आपको उस वह़्य से फेर दें, जो हमने आपकी ओर भेजी है, ताकि आप उसके अलावा हमपर कुछ और गढ़ लें। और तब तो वे आपको अवश्य अपना घनिष्ठ मित्र बना लेते। (Al-Umary)
他们确已使你几乎违背我所启示的教训，以便你假借我的名义，而捏造其它的教训。那么，他们就会把你当朋友了。 (Makin)
