فَٱنطَلَقَا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَتَيَآ أَهۡلَ قَرۡيَةٍ ٱسۡتَطۡعَمَآ أَهۡلَهَا فَأَبَوۡاْ أَن يُضَيِّفُوهُمَا فَوَجَدَا فِيهَا جِدَارٗا يُرِيدُ أَن يَنقَضَّ فَأَقَامَهُۥۖ قَالَ لَوۡ شِئۡتَ لَتَّخَذۡتَ عَلَيۡهِ أَجۡرٗا
Then they went on until they came to the people of a town[37]. They asked its people for food, but they refused to offer them hospitality. They found there a wall that was about to collapse, but he repaired it. Moses said, “If you wished, you could have taken some payment for it.” (Rowwad Translation)
Y ambos prosiguieron su camino hasta que llegaron a una ciudad cuyos habitantes se negaron a hospedarlos y a proporcionarles comida como (Moisés y Al-Jidr) habían solicitado. Entonces vieron que había un muro a punto de derrumbarse y (Al-Jidr) lo reconstruyó. (Moisés) le dijo: «Si hubieras querido, habrías podido pedir una remuneración por ello». (Noor International)
Ils reprirent tous deux leur route jusqu’à ce qu’ils atteignent un village où ils demandèrent à ses habitants de leur donner à manger, mais ces derniers leur refusèrent l’hospitalité. (Puis les deux compagnons de voyage) trouvèrent un mur sur le point de s’écrouler. (L’homme) le répara alors, et (Moïse) lui fit observer : « Si tu voulais, tu pourrais réclamer un salaire pour (un tel travail). » (Noor International)
फिर दोनो चले, यहाँ तक कि जब एक गाँव वालों के पास आए, तो उसके वासियों से भोजन माँगा। परंतु उन्होंने उनका अतिथि सत्कार करने से इनकार कर दिया। फिर वहाँ उन्होंने एक दीवार पाई, जो गिरा चाहती थी। तो उस (खज़िर) ने उसे सीधा कर दिया। (मूसा ने) कहा : यदि आप चाहते, तो इसपर पारिश्रमिक ले लेते। (Al-Umary)
他俩又同行，来到了一个城市，就向城里的居民求食，他们不肯款待。后来他俩在城里发现一堵墙快要倒塌了，他就把那堵墙修理好了，穆萨说：“如果你意欲，你必为这件工作而索取工钱。” (Makin)
