الآية السابقة
وَلَوۡ أَنَّآ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُم بِعَذَابٖ مِّن قَبۡلِهِۦ لَقَالُواْ رَبَّنَا لَوۡلَآ أَرۡسَلۡتَ إِلَيۡنَا رَسُولٗا فَنَتَّبِعَ ءَايَٰتِكَ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن نَّذِلَّ وَنَخۡزَىٰ
If We had destroyed them with a punishment before this[52], they would have said, “Our Lord, if only You had sent us a messenger so that we would have followed Your verses before being humiliated and disgraced.” (Rowwad Translation)
Y si los hubiéramos destruido mediante un castigo antes de haberles enviado (a Muhammad), habrían dicho: «¡Señor!, ¿por qué no nos enviaste un mensajero para que hubiéramos podido seguir Tu mensaje antes de haber caído en la humillación y en la desgracia (el Día de la Resurrección)?». Si pourtant Nous les avions fait périr par un supplice avant lui (Muhammad), ils auraient certainement dit : « Seigneur, pourquoi ne nous as-Tu pas envoyé un Messager ? Nous aurions alors suivi Tes Signes avant d’être frappés d’humiliation et couverts d’infamie ? » (Noor International)
और यदि हम वास्तव में उन्हें इससे पहले किसी अज़ाब से विनष्ट कर देते, तो ये लोग अवश्य कहते : ऐ हमारे रब! तूने हमारी ओर कोई रसूल क्यों नहीं भेजा कि हम तेरी आयतों की पैरवी करते, इससे[48] पहले कि हम ज़लील और रुसवा हों? (Al-Umary)
假若在派遣他之前，我以刑罚毁灭他们，他们必定要说：“我们的主啊！你怎么不派遣一个使者来引导我们，以便我们在蒙受卑贱和耻辱之前，遵守你的迹象呢？” (Makin)
