قَالَ بَصُرۡتُ بِمَا لَمۡ يَبۡصُرُواْ بِهِۦ فَقَبَضۡتُ قَبۡضَةٗ مِّنۡ أَثَرِ ٱلرَّسُولِ فَنَبَذۡتُهَا وَكَذَٰلِكَ سَوَّلَتۡ لِي نَفۡسِي
He said, “I saw something they did not see, so I took a handful [of dust] from the hoof-print of the horse of the messenger [Gabriel] and cast it [into the fire][30]. This is what my mind prompted me.” (Rowwad Translation)
(Este) dijo (tratando de justificarse): «Vi lo que los demás no vieron (el ángel Gabriel saliendo del mar cuando se ahogó el Faraón) y tomé un puñado (de la tierra) que había pisado el (caballo del) enviado (el ángel Gabriel) y la arrojé (con las joyas para modelar el becerro)[586]. Eso es lo que mi alma me sugirió hacer». (Noor International)
« J’ai vu ce qu’ils n’ont pas vu, dit-il. J’ai pris une poignée (de poussière) sur les traces de l’Envoyé (l’Ange Gabriel)[321] et je l’ai jetée. C’est ce que mon âme m’a suggéré (de faire). » (Noor International)
उसने कहा : मैंने वह चीज़ देखी, जो इन लोगों नहीं देखी, तो मैंने रसूल के पदचिह्न से एक मुट्ठी उठाली, फिर मैंने उसे डाल दिया और मेरे दिल ने इसी तरह करना मेरे लिए सुसज्जित कर दिया।[33] (Al-Umary)
他说：“我曾见他们所未见的，我从使者的遗迹上握了一把土，而我把它抛下去，我的私欲那样怂恿我。” (Makin)
