وَلَمَّا وَرَدَ مَآءَ مَدۡيَنَ وَجَدَ عَلَيۡهِ أُمَّةٗ مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ يَسۡقُونَ وَوَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمُ ٱمۡرَأَتَيۡنِ تَذُودَانِۖ قَالَ مَا خَطۡبُكُمَاۖ قَالَتَا لَا نَسۡقِي حَتَّىٰ يُصۡدِرَ ٱلرِّعَآءُۖ وَأَبُونَا شَيۡخٞ كَبِيرٞ
When he arrived at the well of Midian, he found a crowd of people watering [their flocks] and found apart from them two women holding [their flocks] back. He said, “What is the matter with you?” They said, “We cannot water [them] until the shepherds take [their flocks] away, and our father is a very old man.” (Rowwad Translation)
Y cuando llegó al pozo de Madián, encontró a un grupo de hombres que abrevaban su ganado y vio que, apartadas de ellos, había dos mujeres que no dejaban que sus rebaños se acercaran (al lugar). Moisés les preguntó: «¿Qué os sucede?». (Ellas) respondieron: «Esperamos a que se vayan los pastores para abrevar (nuestros rebaños), pues nuestro padre es un hombre anciano(y no puede hacerlo)». Il arriva au point d’eau de Madyan, où il trouva une foule de gens qui faisaient boire (leur bétail). Il vit aussi deux femmes qui, un peu plus loin, retenaient (leurs bêtes). « Qu’avez-vous donc ? » leur demanda Moïse. « Nous ne pourrons faire boire (nos bêtes) que lorsque les bergers seront partis, répondirent-elles ; car notre père est un homme très âgé. » (Noor International)
और जब वह मदयन के पानी पर पहुँचा, तो उसपर लागों का एक समूह पाया, जो (अपने पशुओं को) पानी पिला रहा था। तथा उनके एक तरफ दो महिलाओं को पाया जो (अपने पशुओं को) रोक रही थीं। उसने कहा : तुम्हारा क्या मामला है? उन दोनों ने कहा : हम पानी नहीं पिलाते यहाँ तक कि चरवाहे (अपने जानवरों को) पिलाकर वापस ले जाएँ और हमारे पिता बहुत बूढ़े हैं। (Al-Umary)
当他来到麦德彦的泉水旁的时候，他看见一群人在那里饮羊，他发现除他们外还有两个女子，拦着她俩的羊群。他说：“你俩为什么这样呢？”她俩说：“我们要到牧人们使他们的羊离开泉水，才得饮我们的羊。我们的父亲是一位龙钟的老人。” (Makin)
