إِذۡ جَآءُوكُم مِّن فَوۡقِكُمۡ وَمِنۡ أَسۡفَلَ مِنكُمۡ وَإِذۡ زَاغَتِ ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرُ وَبَلَغَتِ ٱلۡقُلُوبُ ٱلۡحَنَاجِرَ وَتَظُنُّونَ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلظُّنُونَا۠
[Remember] when they came upon you from above you and from below you[9], and your eyes grew wild [in horror], and the hearts reached the throats, and you began to entertain various thoughts about Allah[10]. (Rowwad Translation)
Os atacaban por encima y por debajo (del valle). Los mirabais con los ojos desencajados y con el corazón en la boca,aterrorizados, y (algunos) abrigabais dudas acerca de Al-lah (pensando que no os socorrería). (Noor International)

जब वे तुमपर, तुम्हारे ऊपर से तथा तुम्हारे नीचे से चढ़ आए, तथा जब आँखें फिर गईं, और दिल गले तक पहुँच गए, तथा तुम अल्लाह के बारे में तरह-तरह के गुमान करने लगे।[8] (Al-Umary)
