وَلَقَدۡ كَانُواْ عَٰهَدُواْ ٱللَّهَ مِن قَبۡلُ لَا يُوَلُّونَ ٱلۡأَدۡبَٰرَۚ وَكَانَ عَهۡدُ ٱللَّهِ مَسۡـُٔولٗا
They had already made a covenant with Allah earlier that they would not turn and flee, and the covenant of Allah will surely be questioned about. (Rowwad Translation)
Y esto a pesar de que habían dado a Al-lah su palabra de que no volverían la espalda (huyendo de la batalla). Y lo prometido a Al-lah debe cumplirse (pues el hombre rendirá cuentas a Al-lah de ello). (Noor International)
Ils avaient pourtant pris l’engagement devant Allah de ne point fuir (l’ennemi). Ils auront certes à répondre de leur engagement envers Allah. (Noor International)
जबकि उन्होंने इससे पूर्व अल्लाह से प्रतिज्ञा की थी कि वे पीठ नहीं फेरेंगे। और अल्लाह से की गई प्रतिज्ञा के बारे में तो पूछा ही जाएगा। (Al-Umary)
以前他们与安拉确已约定，他们绝不转背。安拉的盟约，是应该负责履行的。 (Makin)
