إِنَّا عَرَضۡنَا ٱلۡأَمَانَةَ عَلَى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱلۡجِبَالِ فَأَبَيۡنَ أَن يَحۡمِلۡنَهَا وَأَشۡفَقۡنَ مِنۡهَا وَحَمَلَهَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُۖ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ ظَلُومٗا جَهُولٗا
Indeed, We offered the Trust[55] to the heavens, the earth, and the mountains, yet they refused[56] to bear it and were afraid of it. But man assumed it; he is indeed wrongful and ignorant[57]. (Rowwad Translation)
Ciertamente, ofrecimos a los cielos, a la tierra y a las montañas la responsabilidad (de cumplir con los preceptos de la religión de Al-lah y de ser recompensados o castigados según su actuación), mas declinaron tal responsabilidad y la temieron; no obstante, el hombre la aceptó. El hombre fue, en verdad, injusto consigo mismo e ignorante (al desestimar el riesgo que conllevaba aceptar tal responsabilidad si no cumplía con ella). (Noor International)
Nous avons proposé aux cieux, à la terre et aux montagnes d’assumer la charge (du discernement entre le vrai et le faux), mais ils ont refusé de l’assumer et ont pris peur. L’homme l’a assumée, car il est grandement injuste et si ignorant. (Noor International)
हमने अमानत[47] को आकाशों और धरती तथा पर्वतों के समक्ष प्रस्तुत किया, लेकिन उन सबने उसका भार उठाने से इनकार कर दिया और वे उससे डर गए। परंतु इनसान ने उसे उठा लिया। निःसंदेह वह बड़ा ही अत्याचारी[48] औ बहुत अज्ञानी है। (Al-Umary)
我确已将重任信托天地和山岳，但它们不肯承担它，它们畏惧它，而人却承担了——人确是不义的，确是无知的， (Makin)
