الآية السابقة
وَمَا كَانَ لَهُۥ عَلَيۡهِم مِّن سُلۡطَٰنٍ إِلَّا لِنَعۡلَمَ مَن يُؤۡمِنُ بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ مِمَّنۡ هُوَ مِنۡهَا فِي شَكّٖۗ وَرَبُّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٍ حَفِيظٞ
even though he had no authority over them, except that We might distinguish those who believe in the Hereafter from those who are in doubt about it. Your Lord is Watchful over all things.” (Rowwad Translation)
Y no tenía autoridad sobre ellos, salvo para que (Al-lah los pusiese a prueba y) se evidenciaraquiénes creían verdaderamente en la otra vida y quiénes dudaban sobre ella. Y tu Señor observa y registra todas las cosas. (Noor International)

हालाँकि उसका उनपर कोई ज़ोर (दबाव) नहीं था। लेकिन ऐसा इसलिए हुआ ताकि हम जान लें कि कौन आख़िरत पर ईमान लाता है और कौन उसके बारे में संदेह में पड़ा हुआ है। तथा आपका पालनहार प्रत्येक चीज़ का संरक्षक है। (Al-Umary)
他对他们之所以有权利者，只为我要辨别谁是信仰后世的，谁是怀疑后世的。你的主，是万物的监护者。 (Makin)
