وَأَقۡسَمُواْ بِٱللَّهِ جَهۡدَ أَيۡمَٰنِهِمۡ لَئِن جَآءَهُمۡ نَذِيرٞ لَّيَكُونُنَّ أَهۡدَىٰ مِنۡ إِحۡدَى ٱلۡأُمَمِۖ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ نَذِيرٞ مَّا زَادَهُمۡ إِلَّا نُفُورًا
They swore by Allah their most solemn oaths that if a warner came to them, they would surely be more guided than any other community. But when a warner came to them, it only added to their aversion – (Rowwad Translation)
Y (los idólatras de La Meca) juraban solemnemente por Al-lah que si se presentara ante ellos un amonestador, serían la nación mejor guiada; mas ahora que les ha llegado un amonestador (Muhammad) no han hecho sino alejarse más (de la verdad) (Noor International)
Ils jurèrent par Allah de leurs serments les plus solennels que si un avertisseur venait vers eux, ils seraient mieux guidés qu’aucune autre communauté. Puis lorsqu’un avertisseur est venu vers eux, cela n’a fait qu’ajouter à leur aversion, (Noor International)
और उन (काफ़िरों) ने अल्लाह की पक्की क़समें खाई थीं कि यदि उनके पास कोई डराने वाला (नबी) आया, तो वे अवश्य किसी भी अन्य समुदाय से अधिक सीधे रास्ते पर चलने वाले हो जाएँगे। फिर जब उनके पास एक डराने वाला[14] आ गया, तो इससे उनके (सत्य से) दूर भागने ही में वृद्धि हुई। (Al-Umary)
他们指安拉发出最严重的誓言说：如果有一个警告者来临他们，那末，他们遵循正道必甚过任何一个民族。当警告者来临他们的时候，他们却更加悖谬， (Makin)
