ٱللَّهُ يَتَوَفَّى ٱلۡأَنفُسَ حِينَ مَوۡتِهَا وَٱلَّتِي لَمۡ تَمُتۡ فِي مَنَامِهَاۖ فَيُمۡسِكُ ٱلَّتِي قَضَىٰ عَلَيۡهَا ٱلۡمَوۡتَ وَيُرۡسِلُ ٱلۡأُخۡرَىٰٓ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ مُّسَمًّىۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
Allah takes away the souls at the time of their death and of those who do not die during their sleep. He withholds the souls of those on whom He has decreed death and releases others until an appointed term. Indeed, there are signs in this for people who reflect. (Rowwad Translation)
Al-lah toma las almas (de los hombres) al morir, y durante el sueño las de quienes aún no les ha llegado su hora. Luego retiene las de aquellos a quienes había decretado la muerte y devuelve las otras hasta una fecha fijada. En esto hay pruebas (del poder de Al-lah) para quienes reflexionan. (Noor International)
Allah reprend les âmes au moment de leur mort, et celles qui ne meurent pas, (Il les reprend) au cours de leur sommeil. Il retient alors celles pour lesquelles Il a décrété le trépas, et libère les autres jusqu’à un terme déjà nommé. Il y a certes là des Signes pour des gens qui savent réfléchir. (Noor International)
अल्लाह ही प्राणों को उनकी मौत के समय क़ब्ज़ करता है, तथा जिसकी मौत का समय नहीं आया, उसकी नींद की अवस्था में। फिर (उसे) रोक लेता है, जिसके बारे में मौत का निर्णय कर दिया हो तथा अन्य को एक निर्धारित समय तक के लिए भेज देता है। निःसंदेह इसमें उन लोगों के लिए निश्चय कई निशानियाँ हैं, जो मनन-चिंतन[8] करते हैं। (Al-Umary)
人们到了死亡的时候，安拉将他们的灵魂取去；尚未到死期的人们，当他们睡眠的时候，安拉也将他们的灵魂取去。他已判决其死亡者，他扣留他们的灵魂；（他未判决其死亡者），便将他们的灵魂放回，至一定期。对于能思维的民众，此中确有许多迹象。 (Makin)
