الآية السابقة
فَبِمَا نَقۡضِهِم مِّيثَٰقَهُمۡ وَكُفۡرِهِم بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَقَتۡلِهِمُ ٱلۡأَنۢبِيَآءَ بِغَيۡرِ حَقّٖ وَقَوۡلِهِمۡ قُلُوبُنَا غُلۡفُۢۚ بَلۡ طَبَعَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهَا بِكُفۡرِهِمۡ فَلَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا
[They were cursed] for breaking their covenant, rejecting the signs of Allah, killing the prophets unjustly, and for their saying, “Our hearts are wrapped up”. Rather, it is Allah Who has sealed them for their disbelief; so none of them will believe except a few – (Rowwad Translation)
(Y Al-lah los expulsó de Su misericordia) por quebrantar su compromiso, por rechazar los milagros y las pruebas de Al-lah, por matar a los profetas sin justificación alguna y por decir (al profeta Muhammad): «Nuestros corazones no comprenden (tus palabras)». Es Al-lah Quien los ha sellado porque negaban la verdad, pues solo creían unos pocos[169]. (Noor International)
(Si nous les avons maudits, c’est parce qu’ils) ont violé leur engagement, ont mécru aux Signes d’Allah, ont tué injustement les Prophètes, et ont dit : « Nos cœurs sont hermétiquement fermés. » C’est plutôt Allah qui les a scellés (leurs cœurs), pour prix de leur mécréance, car ils sont de peu de foi.[152] (Noor International)
फिर उनके अपने वचन को तोड़ देने ही के कारण (हमने उनपर ला'नत की) और उनके अल्लाह की आयतों का इनकार करने और उनके नबियों को बिना किसी अधिकार के क़त्ल करने तथा उनके यह कहने के कारण कि हमारे दिल आवरण में सुरक्षित हैं, बल्कि अल्लाह ने उनपर उनके कुफ़्र की वजह से मुहर लगा दी है। अतः वे बहुत कम ही ईमान लाते हैं। (Al-Umary)
（我弃绝他们），因为他们破坏盟约，不信安拉的迹象，妄杀众先知，并且说：“我们的心是受蒙蔽的。”不然，安拉为他们的不信道而封闭了他们的心，故他们除少数人外，都不信道。 (Makin)
