إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ يَصِلُونَ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِۭ بَيۡنَكُمۡ وَبَيۡنَهُم مِّيثَٰقٌ أَوۡ جَآءُوكُمۡ حَصِرَتۡ صُدُورُهُمۡ أَن يُقَٰتِلُوكُمۡ أَوۡ يُقَٰتِلُواْ قَوۡمَهُمۡۚ وَلَوۡ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَسَلَّطَهُمۡ عَلَيۡكُمۡ فَلَقَٰتَلُوكُمۡۚ فَإِنِ ٱعۡتَزَلُوكُمۡ فَلَمۡ يُقَٰتِلُوكُمۡ وَأَلۡقَوۡاْ إِلَيۡكُمُ ٱلسَّلَمَ فَمَا جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ سَبِيلٗا
except those who join a people with whom you have a treaty[66] or those who come to you feeling discomfort to fight you or fight their own people. If Allah had willed, He would have empowered them to fight you. Therefore if they withdraw and refrain from fighting you and offer you peace, then Allah has not given you permission [to fight] against them. (Rowwad Translation)
Pero no luchéis contra quienes se alíen con gentes con las que mantenéis un acuerdo de paz o contra quienes lleguen a vosotros con el corazón apesadumbrado por tener que luchar contra vosotros o contra su propia gente. Si Al-lah hubiera querido, les habría dado poder sobre vosotros y os habrían combatido. Mas, si se mantienen al margen, no os combaten y os proponen la paz, entonces Al-lah no permite que toméis acciones contra ellos. (Noor International)
hormis ceux qui rejoignent un clan auquel vous lie un pacte, ou ceux qui viennent vers vous avec un serrement au cœur, ne sachant pas s’ils doivent vous combattre ou bien combattre les leurs. Mais si Allah l’avait voulu, Il les aurait mobilisés contre vous, et ces derniers vous auraient combattus. Alors, s’ils gardent leurs distances par rapport à vous, ne vous combattent pas et vous proposent la paix, Allah ne vous laisse aucun chemin pour (déclencher contre eux) les hostilités. परंतु उनमें से जो लोग किसी ऐसी क़ौम से जा मिलें, जिनके और तुम्हारे बीच समझौता हो, या वे लोग जो तुम्हारे पास इस अवस्था में आएँ कि उनके दिल इस बात से तंग हो रहे हों कि वे तुमसे युद्ध करें अथवा (तुम्हारे साथ मिलकर) अपनी जाति से युद्ध करें। और यदि अल्लाह चाहता, तो उन्हें तुमपर हावी कर देता, फिर वे तुमसे ज़रूर युद्ध करते। अतः यदि वे तुमसे अलग रहें और तुमसे युद्ध न करें और संधि के लिए तुम्हारी ओर हाथ बढ़ाएँ, तो अल्लाह ने उनके विरुद्ध् तुम्हारे लिए (युद्ध का) कोई रास्ता नहीं बनाया[60] है। (Al-Umary)
除非他们逃到曾与你们缔约的民众那里，或来归顺你们，既不愿对你们作战，又不愿对他们的宗族作战。假若安拉意欲，他必使他们占优势，而他们必进攻你们。如果他们退避你们，而不进攻你们，并且投降你们，那么，安拉绝不许你们进攻他们。 (Makin)
