يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا يَسۡخَرۡ قَوۡمٞ مِّن قَوۡمٍ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونُواْ خَيۡرٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ وَلَا نِسَآءٞ مِّن نِّسَآءٍ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُنَّ خَيۡرٗا مِّنۡهُنَّۖ وَلَا تَلۡمِزُوٓاْ أَنفُسَكُمۡ وَلَا تَنَابَزُواْ بِٱلۡأَلۡقَٰبِۖ بِئۡسَ ٱلِٱسۡمُ ٱلۡفُسُوقُ بَعۡدَ ٱلۡإِيمَٰنِۚ وَمَن لَّمۡ يَتُبۡ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
O you who believe, let not some men ridicule others, for it may be that they are better than them; nor let some women ridicule others, for it may be that they are better than them. Do not speak ill of one another, nor call one another by [offensive] nicknames. How evil is the name of wickedness after having faith! And whoever does not repent, it is they who are the wrongdoers. ¡Oh, creyentes!, que no se burlen unos pueblos de otros, pues podría ser que estos últimos fueran mejores que aquellos. Y que no se burlen unas mujeres de otras, pues podría ser que estas últimas fueran mejores que aquellas. No os difaméis ni os insultéis con apodos. ¡Qué malo es hacer uso de apodos ofensivos después de haber abrazado la fe! Y quienes lo hagan y no se arrepientan, esos serán los injustos. Ô vous qui avez cru ! Que certains d’entre vous ne se moquent point des autres, car ceux-ci pourraient être meilleurs qu’eux. Et que les femmes ne se moquent point d’autres femmes, car celles-ci pourraient être meilleures qu’elles. Ne vous dénigrez point les uns les autres, et point ne vous vexez en vous attribuant mutuellement de (blessants) sobriquets. Quel pire nom que celui de perversion après qu’on a eu la foi ! Ceux qui ne se repentent pas, ce sont eux les injustes. (Noor International)
ऐ लोगो जो ईमान लाए हो![6] एक जाति दूसरी जाति का उपहास न करे, हो सकता है कि वे उनसे बेहतर हों। और न कोई स्त्रियाँ अन्य स्त्रियों की हँसी उड़ाएँ, हो सकता है कि वे उनसे अच्छी हों। और न अपनों पर दोष लगाओ, और न एक-दूसरे को बुरे नामों से पुकारो। ईमान के बाद अवज्ञाकारी होना बुरा नाम है। और जिसने तौबा न की, तो वही लोग अत्याचारी हैं। (Al-Umary)
信道的人们啊！你们中的男子，不要互相嘲笑；被嘲笑者，或许胜于嘲笑者。你们中的女子，也不要互相嘲笑；被嘲笑者，或许胜于嘲笑者。你们不要互相诽谤，不要以诨名相称；信道后再以诨名相称，这称呼真恶劣！未悔罪者，是不义的。 (Makin)
