قَدۡ كَانَتۡ لَكُمۡ أُسۡوَةٌ حَسَنَةٞ فِيٓ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مَعَهُۥٓ إِذۡ قَالُواْ لِقَوۡمِهِمۡ إِنَّا بُرَءَٰٓؤُاْ مِنكُمۡ وَمِمَّا تَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ كَفَرۡنَا بِكُمۡ وَبَدَا بَيۡنَنَا وَبَيۡنَكُمُ ٱلۡعَدَٰوَةُ وَٱلۡبَغۡضَآءُ أَبَدًا حَتَّىٰ تُؤۡمِنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَحۡدَهُۥٓ إِلَّا قَوۡلَ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ لِأَبِيهِ لَأَسۡتَغۡفِرَنَّ لَكَ وَمَآ أَمۡلِكُ لَكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن شَيۡءٖۖ رَّبَّنَا عَلَيۡكَ تَوَكَّلۡنَا وَإِلَيۡكَ أَنَبۡنَا وَإِلَيۡكَ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
Indeed, you have a good example[2] in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, “We dissociate ourselves from you and whatever you worship besides Allah. We renounce you, and the enmity and hatred have arisen between us and you forever until you believe in Allah alone”, except for Abraham when he said to his father, “I will seek forgiveness for you, but I cannot protect you from Allah in the least.” “Our Lord, in You we put our trust and to You we turn, and to You is the final return.” (Rowwad Translation)
Realmente, tenéis un buen ejemplo en Abraham y en quienes creyeron con él cuando dijeron a su pueblo: «Nos desentendemos de vosotros y de lo que adoráis fuera de Al-lah. Renegamos de vosotros, y desde hoy se establece la enemistad y el odio entre nosotros y vosotros para siempre, hasta que creáis solamente en Al-lah». Pero no hagáis como Abraham[1035] cuando dijo a su padre: «Pediré perdón a Al-lah por ti, mas no puedo hacer nada por ti (si Al-lah decide castigarte)». (Después, tras haber partido del lugar junto con sus seguidores, invocó a Al-lah diciéndole:) «¡Señor nuestro!, a Ti nos encomendamos, a Ti nos volvemos en arrepentimiento (y en todos nuestros asuntos) y a Ti es nuestro retorno (el Día de la Resurrección). Vous avez un exemple édifiant en Abraham et en ceux qui étaient avec lui, lorsqu’ils dirent à leur peuple : « Nous vous désavouons, vous et ce que vous adorez en dehors d’Allah. Nous vous renions. L’inimitié et la rancœur sont désormais et à tout jamais entre nous, tant que vous n’aurez pas cru exclusivement en Allah. » À l’exception de ce qu’avait dit Abrahm à son père : « J’implorerai en ta faveur le pardon (d’Allah), mais je ne pourrai rien faire pour toi contre (la sentence) d’Allah. Seigneur ! C’est à Toi que nous nous en remettons, c’est auprès de Toi que nous nous repentons, et c’est vers Toi que sera le devenir ! (Noor International)
निश्चय तुम्हारे लिए इबराहीम तथा उनके साथियों में एक अच्छा आदर्श है। जब उन्होंने अपनी जाति से कहा : निःसंदेह हम तुमसे और उन सभी चीज़ों से बरी हैं, जिन्हें तुम अल्लाह के अतिरिक्त पूजते हो। हम तुम्हें नहीं मानते और हमारे बीच तथा तुम्हारे बीच दुश्मनी और घृणा सदा के लिए प्रकट हो चुकी है, यहाँ तक कि तुम अकेले अल्लाह पर ईमान ले आओ। परंतु इबराहीम का अपने पिता से यह कहना (तुम्हारे लिए आदर्श नहीं) कि मैं अवश्य तुम्हारे लिए क्षमा की प्रार्थना करूँगा[2] और मैं अल्लाह के सामने तुम्हारे लिए कुछ अधिकार नहीं रखता। ऐ हमारे पालनहार! हमने तुझी पर भरोसा किया और तेरी ही ओर लौटे और तेरी ही ओर लौटकर आना है। (Al-Umary)
易卜拉欣和他的教徒，是你们的好模范。当时，他们曾对自己的宗族说：“我们对於你们，和你们舍安拉而崇拜的，确是无干的，我们不承认你们。我们彼此间的仇恨，永远存在。直到你们只信仰安拉。但易卜拉欣对他父亲所说的话，（不可做你们的模范）。他曾说：我必定为你求饶，我不能为你抵御安拉的一些刑罚。他们曾说：我们的主啊！我们只托靠你，我们只归依你，只有你是最後的归宿。 (Makin)
