أَسۡكِنُوهُنَّ مِنۡ حَيۡثُ سَكَنتُم مِّن وُجۡدِكُمۡ وَلَا تُضَآرُّوهُنَّ لِتُضَيِّقُواْ عَلَيۡهِنَّۚ وَإِن كُنَّ أُوْلَٰتِ حَمۡلٖ فَأَنفِقُواْ عَلَيۡهِنَّ حَتَّىٰ يَضَعۡنَ حَمۡلَهُنَّۚ فَإِنۡ أَرۡضَعۡنَ لَكُمۡ فَـَٔاتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ وَأۡتَمِرُواْ بَيۡنَكُم بِمَعۡرُوفٖۖ وَإِن تَعَاسَرۡتُمۡ فَسَتُرۡضِعُ لَهُۥٓ أُخۡرَىٰ
Let them live where you live [during their waiting period], according to your means, and do not harass them to make their stay unbearable[6]. If they are pregnant, maintain them until they deliver, and if they suckle your child, compensate them, and graciously settle the question of compensation by mutual understanding. But if you fail to reach an agreement, then another woman may suckle the child. (Rowwad Translation)
Alojadlas donde podáis en vuestros hogares (durante su tiempo de espera) según vuestras posibilidades, y no las perjudiquéis incomodándolas (para que los abandonen).Si están embarazadas, mantenedlas hasta que den a luz; y si amamantan a vuestros hijos, dadles una justa remuneración, y trataros de manera correcta. Mas si os perjudicáis mutuamente (y no llegáis a un acuerdo acerca de la lactancia),que otra mujer amamante al niño (a costa del padre). (Noor International)
Logez (vos femmes répudiées) dans (les habitations) où vous résidez vous-mêmes, selon vos moyens. Ne leur cherchez pas noise en leur rendant la vie insupportable. Et si elles sont enceintes, assurez les dépenses qui leur sont nécessaires jusqu’à ce qu’elles accouchent. Si, (par la suite), elles allaitent (votre enfant), versez-leur une pension. Que vos concertations (à ce sujet) soient sereines et convenables. Mais, si vous ne vous vous êtes pas entendus, que l’allaitement soit confié à une autre (femme). (Noor International)
उन्हें अपने सामर्थ्य के अनुसार वहाँ आवास दो, जहाँ तुम (स्वयं) रहते हो और उन्हें तंग करने के लिए उनको हानि न पहुँचाओ। और यदि वे गर्भवती हों, तो उनपर खर्च करो, यहाँ तक कि वे अपने गर्भ को जन दें। फिर यदि वे तुम्हारे लिए दूध पिलाएँ, तो उन्हें उनका पारिश्रमिक दो। और आपस में ठीक से विचार विमर्श[6] कर लो। और यदि तुम दोनों में असहमति हो जाए, तो उसके लिए कोई दूसरी स्त्री दूध पिलाएगी। (Al-Umary)
你们当依自己的能力而使她们住在你们所住的地方，你们不要妨害她们，而使她们烦闷。如果她们有孕，你们就应当供给她们，直到她们分娩。如果她们为你们哺乳，你们应当报酬她们，并且应当依正义而相商。如果你们的意见不合，就让别的妇人为他哺乳。 (Makin)
