فَخَلَفَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ خَلۡفٞ وَرِثُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ يَأۡخُذُونَ عَرَضَ هَٰذَا ٱلۡأَدۡنَىٰ وَيَقُولُونَ سَيُغۡفَرُ لَنَا وَإِن يَأۡتِهِمۡ عَرَضٞ مِّثۡلُهُۥ يَأۡخُذُوهُۚ أَلَمۡ يُؤۡخَذۡ عَلَيۡهِم مِّيثَٰقُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ أَن لَّا يَقُولُواْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا ٱلۡحَقَّ وَدَرَسُواْ مَا فِيهِۗ وَٱلدَّارُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ لِّلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ
They were then succeeded by other generations who inherited the Scripture, opting for the lowly gains[69], and saying, “We will be forgiven[70].” Yet if a similar gain[71] comes their way, they will seize it. Was not a covenant of the Scripture taken from them that they should not say about Allah except the truth, and they had studied its teachings? But the Home of the Hereafter is better for those who fear Allah. Do you not understand? (Rowwad Translation)
Y los sucedió una (mala) generación que (a pesar de que) heredó el Libro (la Torá), escogía para sí los bienes de esta vida (aunque fuesen ilícitos), y decían: «Seremos perdonados por lo que hagamos». Y si nuevamente se presentaban ante ellos otros bienes similares, volvían a tomarlos (y a caer en el pecado). ¿Acaso no estudiaron la Torá y se comprometieron (a seguirla y) a no decir sobre Al-lah más que la verdad? Y la Última Morada junto a Al-lah (el paraíso) es mejor para quienes Le temen (y evitan lo que Él ha prohibido); ¿es que no razonáis? (Noor International)
Il vint après eux des successeurs qui reçurent le Livre en héritage (la Torah). Ils lui préféraient volontiers les biens de ce bas monde et disaient : « Il nous sera pardonné. » Mais si on leur en offrait de semblables, ils les prenaient toujours. N’avait-on pas pris sur eux l’engagement du Livre, celui de ne dire sur le compte d’Allah que la vérité ? Ils en avaient pourtant étudié le contenu (du Livre). L’ultime séjour est certes meilleur pour ceux qui ont la piété. N’allez-vous donc pas comprendre ? (Noor International)
फिर उनके बाद उनकी जगह नालायक़ उत्तराधिकारी आए, जो पुस्तक के वारिस बने, वे इस तुच्छ संसार का सामान लेते हैं और कहते हैं कि हमें क्षमा कर दिया जाएगा। और यदि उनके पास इस जैसा और सामान भी आ जाए, तो उसे भी ले लेते हैं। क्या उनसे पुस्तक का दृढ़ वचन नहीं लिया गया था कि अल्लाह पर सत्य के सिवा कुछ नहीं कहेंगे, और उन्होंने जो कुछ उसमें था, पढ़ भी लिया था। और आख़िरत का घर (जन्नत) उन लोगों के लिए उत्तम है, जो अल्लाह से डरते हैं। तो क्या तुम नहीं[63] समझते? 在他们死亡之后，有不肖的后裔代替他们而继承了天经，那些后裔攫取今世浮利，还说：“我们将蒙饶恕。”如果有同样的浮利来到他们的身边，他们还将攫取。难道天经中没有明文教导他们只能以真理归于安拉吗？难道他们没有诵习那些明文吗？后世的安宅，对于敬畏者是更优美的。难道你们不理解吗？ (Makin)
