أَوۡ تَقُولُوٓاْ إِنَّمَآ أَشۡرَكَ ءَابَآؤُنَا مِن قَبۡلُ وَكُنَّا ذُرِّيَّةٗ مِّنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡۖ أَفَتُهۡلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ ٱلۡمُبۡطِلُونَ
Or that you say, “It was our forefathers before us who associated partners with Allah, and we are their offspring who came after them. Will you then destroy us for the falsehood that they invented?” (Rowwad Translation)
y para que tampoco digáis: «Nuestros padres también adoraban a otras divinidades y nosotros los sucedimos (e hicimos como ellos).¿Vas a castigarnos por lo que hicieron quienes siguieron la falsedad[262]?». (Noor International)
Ni ne direz : « Nos pères avaient déjà donné des associés (à Allah) et nous sommes leur postérité. Nous feras-Tu donc périr pour les actes des imposteurs ? » (Noor International)
अथवा यह कहो कि शिर्क तो हमसे पहले हमारे बाप-दादा ही ने किया था और हम तो उनके बाद उनकी संतान थे। तो क्या तू गुमराहों के कर्म के कारण हमें विनष्ट करता है?[65] (Al-Umary)
或者说：“只有我们的祖先从前曾以物配主，我们不过是他们的后裔；难道你要因荒诞者的行为而毁灭我们吗？” (Makin)
