الآية السابقة
وَعَلَى ٱلثَّلَٰثَةِ ٱلَّذِينَ خُلِّفُواْ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا ضَاقَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتۡ وَضَاقَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ أَنفُسُهُمۡ وَظَنُّوٓاْ أَن لَّا مَلۡجَأَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَّآ إِلَيۡهِ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ لِيَتُوبُوٓاْۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
[And Allah also turned in mercy to] the three who stayed behind[86], until the earth became constrained to them, despite its vastness, and their souls became a burden to them, and they realized that there was no refuge from Allah except in Him. Then He turned to them in mercy, so that they might repent, for Allah is the Accepter of Repentance, the Most Merciful. (Rowwad Translation)
Y también (ha perdonado) a los tres creyentes[329] que no salieron a combatir (sin excusa alguna y que se apenaron profundamente por ello después) hasta el punto de sentir que la tierra los oprimía, a pesar de su vastedad, debido a su angustia; hasta que se dieron cuenta de que no podrían huir de Al-lah y de que solo en Él podrían refugiarse. Entonces, Al-lah hizo que se volvieran a Él arrepentidos para perdonarlos. Ciertamente, Al-lah acepta siempre el arrepentimiento y es Misericordioso. (Noor International)
(Et Il a accepté aussi le repentir) des trois (hommes) qui étaient restés à l’arrière (n’étaient pas partis au combat) et devant qui la terre, si vaste qu’elle fût, devenait (beaucoup trop) étroite. Leurs propres personnes leur semblaient si exiguës qu’ils se rendirent à l’évidence qu’il n’est point d’autre refuge où se sauver d’Allah qu’auprès de Lui. Puis Il accepta leur repentir pour qu’ils reviennent (à Lui). Car Allah est, Lui, le Tout Absoluteur, le Tout Miséricordieux. (Noor International)
तथा उन तीन[54] लोगों की भी (तौबा क़बूल कर ली), जिनका मामला स्थगित कर दिया गया था, यहाँ तक कि जब धरती उनपर अपने विस्तार के बावजूद तंग हो गई और उनपर उनके प्राण संकीर्ण[55] हो गए और उन्होंने यक़ीन कर लिया कि अल्लाह से भागकर उनके लिए कोई शरण लेने का स्थान नहीं, परंतु उसी की ओर। फिर उसने उनपर दया करते हुए उन्हें तौबा की तौफ़ीक़ दी, ताकि वे तौबा करें। निश्चय अल्लाह ही है जो बहुत तौबा क़बूल करने वाला, अत्यंत दयावान् है। (Al-Umary)
他也允许那三个人悔过，他们留待安拉的命令，感到大地虽广，他们觉得无地自容；心境也觉得很狭隘，相信除向安拉悔过外，无法逃避安拉的震怒。此后，他允许了他们悔过，以便他们自新。安拉确是至恕的，确是至慈的。 (Makin)
