الآية السابقة
أَلَمۡ يَأۡتِهِمۡ نَبَأُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ قَوۡمِ نُوحٖ وَعَادٖ وَثَمُودَ وَقَوۡمِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَأَصۡحَٰبِ مَدۡيَنَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡتَفِكَٰتِۚ أَتَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِۖ فَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيَظۡلِمَهُمۡ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ يَظۡلِمُونَ
Have they not received the stories of those who came before them: the people of Noah, ‘Ād, Thamūd, the people of Abraham, the dwellers of Midian, and the overturned cities [of Lot]? Their messengers came to them with clear signs. It was not Allah who wronged them, but it was they who wronged themselves. (Rowwad Translation)
¿Acaso no recibieron noticias de lo que les ocurrió a los pueblos que los precedieron, como el del profeta Noé, el de'Ad, el de Zamud, el del profeta Abraham, el de Madián[315] y los que fueron puestos boca abajo[316] (las gentes del profeta Lot)? Les llegaron sus mensajeros con claros milagros, pero no creyeron (y fueron exterminados); y Al-lahno fue injusto con ellos, sino que ellos fueron injustos consigo mismos (al rechazar la verdad). Ne leur est-il pas parvenu l’histoire de ceux qui vécurent avant eux, celle des peuples de Noé, des ‘Ad et des Thamûd, ou celle encore du peuple d’Abraham, des gens de Madyan[208] et des cités renversées ?[209] Leurs Messagers leur avaient apporté les preuves évidentes. Allah ne les avait nullement lésés mais ils se lésaient eux-mêmes. (Noor International)
क्या इनके पास उन लोगों की ख़बर नहीं आई, जो इनसे पहले थे? नूह़ की जाति और आद और समूद तथा इबराहीम की जाति और मदयन[33] वाले और उलटी[34] हुई बस्तियों के लोग? उनके पास उनके रसूल स्पष्ट प्रमाण लेकर आए, तो अल्लाह ऐसा नहीं था कि उनपर अत्याचार करता, परंतु वे स्वयं अपने आप पर अत्याचार[35] करते थे। (Al-Umary)
在他们以前逝去的民族，有努哈的民族，阿德人和赛莫德人，易卜拉欣的宗族，麦德彦的居民和被倾覆的城市的居民，难道那些人的消息没有来临他们吗？那些人的使者们昭示了他们许多的明证，故，安拉不致于亏枉他们，但他们自欺了。 (Makin)
